1. Using the Zoom slider set up the face percent on the resulting ID photo. "70" value means that the human face center will be at 70% height of the full cropped photo.

2. Adjust Position vertical and Position horizontal values to set up the face position on the resulting photo. The left bottom corner of the resulting photo corresponds to Position vertical "0" and Position horizontal "0". Set the Position vertical and Position horizontal to "50", and the face center will be located in the center of the resulting ID photo. Set the Position vertical to "25", and the distance above the face center will equal to 25% of the total photo vertical size.

3. Set the actual photo size. You can use either round values (e.g. 3 х 4) or fractional values (e.g. 3,5 x 4,5).

4. The ID photo corners can now be rounded. The corners color and roundness radius are optional.

5. Frame effect options are added. For now the Rounded corners option is available. New options will be added in the future.

1. The live image can now be overlaid with a grid. The grid type and color are selectable.

2. It is easy now to control the human head inclination which is important for ID photo applications!

3. It is also easy now to control the person's position! For example using the grid you will easily notice that the person's left and right shoulders are not on the same level.

The grid is especially important for web cameras. As they usually do not have the tripod mount they can not be easily installed strictly vertical. Switching the grid on and directing the camera at the test object (strictly vertical or horizontal) you will be able to adjust the camera position.

1. The live image can now be overlaid with a cross-hair.

2. Cross-hair is very important for ID photo focusing. All ID cameras (Canon EOS, Canon Powershot, and web cameras) are better focused on the image center. So the image areas which are closer to the image center will have the better depth of focus. Using the cross-hair option you will capture the sharper ID photos!

There are two approaches:
- to aim the cross-hair on the bridge of nose as this is an eye level and the eyes are especially important for ID photo purposes,
- to aim the cross-hair on the nose end as it is usually located in the center of the human face.

1. Grid and Cross-hair can be used together for the most precised unsurpassed person positioning on the ID photo.

1. The over-exposed and under-exposed ares in the live image are now highlighted. This new option indicates the image areas with the lost information directly on the image preview before capture.

One of the common problem of all web cameras is over-exposed areas on the face. They are clearly visualized now! To get out of them you will need to change the lighting conditions or make adjustments to the camera settings. Some corrections may also be required if you have the under-exposed areas, and the exposure control option will indicate them as well.

The exposure control option is especially important for web camera as they do not have the built-in flash, and the image exposure on preview always corresponds to the image exposure on the captured photo.
